T&Cs

Welcome to Swim Central! We are committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and streamlined experience for all swimmers, coaches, and community members. This Terms and Conditions document outlines the guidelines, responsibilities, and expectations for using our services.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult who remains on-site during the class.

Please follow our current centre rules regarding opening hours, facility usage, and appropriate conduct.

Instructors and class schedules may change as needed. We reserve the right to deny access, suspend, or terminate services if your conduct breaches these terms, harms our reputation, or impacts other users. No refunds will be issued in such cases.

We may close all or part of the centre at any time without notice for repairs, renovations, events, or holidays. Please arrive no more than 20 minutes before your scheduled class or club.

To book lessons or sessions, you must create an account and keep your contact and relevant medical information up to date. By creating an account, you will gain access to the center and be able to book activities.
All account information is stored in accordance with our data protection policy and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

All sessions require a booking. Sessions are for individual use and non-transferable to other family members unless approved by management.
Bookings can be made through the website or by visiting the center. To book, you must have an account or create one during the booking process.
Unused sessions cannot be rescheduled or carried over. If you miss a session without notice, no credit will be issued. However, if 24 hours’ notice of non-attendance is given, you may be able to reschedule.

You may cancel your booking by providing at least one full month’s notice. Your space will remain reserved until the end of the notice period, after which it will be released, and you will no longer be charged.
You are entitled to a cooling-off period as outlined below. Cancellations for swimming lessons can only be made by giving notice on the 1st – 5th of the month, unless within the 14-day cooling-off period.

Under the Customer Contracts Regulations 2015, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of the purchase confirmation (Cooling-Off Period). If you cancel within this period, you will receive a full refund, minus any classes already taken.

If your booking was part of an offer or discount and you cancel within the cooling off period, the classes taken will be charged at full cost and you will be refunded any difference.

You may freeze your class pack or subscription for up to 2 months for medical reasons, provided a relevant medical certificate is submitted. During this freeze, your space may not be held, and you may need to rebook based on availability upon your return. No refunds will be offered if your preferred class is unavailable upon your return, as long as another class is available.

To cancel, please contact the center in writing via email at [email protected].
If the pool or instructor is unavailable for your lesson, you will be notified as soon as possible and offered a make-up class or a cover instructor.
You may also be able to change your class time and day, subject to availability.

We may terminate our agreement with you in the following circumstances:
(a) If you commit a serious or repeated breach of this agreement or the centre’s booking rules, and the breach is not remedied within 7 days of a default notice, if it is capable of remedy.
(b) If any part of your direct debit remains unpaid 14 days after its due date.

Our staff hold relevant sector qualifications and are first aid trained, but they are not medically qualified. If you have any doubts about your fitness or ability to exercise, please consult a doctor before engaging in physical activity.
You must ensure that you are in good physical condition and capable of exercising. Keep your account updated with any relevant medical information.
If you are injured, pregnant, or have any condition that may affect your ability to exercise, please seek medical advice before participating to ensure that exercise will not harm your health or safety.
You must not use the centre’s facilities if you have an infectious or contagious illness, open cuts, abrasions, sores, or any condition that could affect the health, safety, or comfort of others.
Please comply with the latest government guidance regarding Covid-19, which is available at reception. Additionally, familiarize yourself with fire exits and emergency routes. Note that employees are not required to search the building, so it is your responsibility to follow all relevant safety instructions.

For security reasons, all center users and guests must store personal belongings in the lockers provided during classes or sessions. Locker usage is subject to the centre’s terms and conditions. Lockers are available for daily use only; items left overnight will be removed and treated as lost property. Swim Central will not be responsible for the use of lockers or items stored in them.

For safety and hygiene reasons, no crockery, glasses, or hot drinks are allowed in the changing rooms, studio, or swimming pool areas. Pets are not permitted on the premises, except for guide dogs.
Entry to the center is only allowed through the main entrance. Access to the changing rooms is granted via your account on the day and time of your booking.
Fire exits are clearly marked, and center users must not interfere with these doors. In the event of an emergency evacuation, members and guests must immediately proceed to the nearest available exit in an orderly manner.

If any centre user causes a nuisance, misuses the facilities, breaches etiquette guidelines, or behaves inappropriately, we reserve the right to refuse admission, suspend, or terminate access. Abusive language, threatening, or violent behaviour will not be tolerated.
All children must be always supervised by an accompanying adult.
While we understand your desire to take photos, we ask that you avoid including other center users in your images. For photos of your children with their certificates and medals, please use our ‘Awards Wall’ located in reception.
Photography (including mobile phone images) is not permitted in the pool area, viewing gallery, or changing rooms. Please also adhere to and comply with the safety notices in the changing rooms.

Only foldable pushchairs and prams are allowed into the club and must be stored in the designated ‘buggy park’ area next to the lift in reception, in accordance with center rules. The club accepts no responsibility for any lost or damaged items.

For any comments or complaints, please speak with a staff member at the center. Written complaints should be directed to the Swim Coordinator.

The company will not accept liability for any damage or loss to personal property brought onto the centre’s premises.
All activities are undertaken at the user’s own risk.
The company, its staff, or partners shall not be liable for personal injury sustained on the premises, except where it can be proven to result from the wilful act, neglect, or default of the company, staff, or partners.
Customers who experience an accident or injury on the premises must report the incident and the circumstances to the Swim-co-ordinator immediately following the event.
